Dear colleagues,

On behalf of the Balkan Sport Medicine Association, we warmly invite you to participate to the 15th Balkan Sports Medicine Congress which will be held in Crown Plaza, Bucharest, Romania, October 1-3, 2008.

We would like to invite everyone interested in sports medicine, sport physilology, physical therapy, to come to Bucharest, the political, cultural capital city and the commercial centre of Romania. In the peroid between the two World Wars, the city's elegant architecture and the sophistication of its elite earned Bucharest the nickname of the "Paris of the East" or "Little Paris". After the year 2000, due to the advent of Romania's economic boom, the city has modernized and is currently undergoing a period of urban renewal. Various residential and commercial developments are underway, particularly in the northern districts, while Bucharest's historic centre is currently undergoing significant restoration.

The stimulating programme under the motto "Health through Sport, Performance through Sports Medicine" will present the most actual topics by lecturers all around Balkan and Europe. The structure of the Congress will include conferencies, symposium, work-shops, free oral presentations, posters, specialized exibitions with wide international participation. An attractive social programme to complete the intensive scientific sessions will help you to relax and to enjoy every day.
