2nd Balkan Sports Medicine Congress, 28-31 October 1974,
Sofia, Bulgaria.

 

 

The main theme: Problems associated with intensive training through sports medicine perspective. Each country was invited to present three topics (20 minutes) with respect to scientific research. Round table discussions were held on; 1) Juvenile sports -coordinator Yugoslavia, 2) Active rest - Coordinator Turkey, 3) Prepathological conditions - coordinator Bulgaria, 4) Special considerations of female athletes -coordinator Romania, 5) Kinesitheraphy and recovery - coordinator Albania, 6) Sports traumatology, coordinator Greece. English and French were official languages. Registration fee was 20 USD (including welcome cocktail, sightseeing tours, congress material). Accommodation fees were between 8 (four beds) 14 (single) USD per person (including meals). Congress secretary was Dr.Slanchev.
